Monterotondo is a small village in the township of Gavi; back in the Seventeenth Century it was a whole colonic complex surrounded by vineyards and including a cellar, a barn and a main house built by a noble family from Genova. The house gave hospitality to the farmers that worked on the estate.

Today the same buildings occupy the Monterorondo Resort, a project born from the intuition of the Moccagatta family to promote tourism related to wine but also to exalts the Traditions and the Territory. Surrounded by the hills of Gavi, Monterotondo include the Villa Sparina winery with its ancient cellars and 100 hectares of vineyards, L’Ostelliere, a 4 stars hotel with great character and La Gallina, a fine restaurant dedicated to high quality cuisine.
